Heir Express
Here is a grand horse who has a very good show record. No stranger to the winner’s circle in the highly competitive country pleasure division, this horse has won some big classes at major shows, beating some of the best ones. This was one of trainer Mike McIntosh’s favorites, and he remains a favorite of mine to work at home.

Shown here with former owner Marianne Gauger, he was purchased as a western prospect and was a rising star in that division, winning a couple of nice classes at his first shows thanks to his beauty, manners and expression. However, Express is bred a bit hot to like western for the long haul, and he’s happier having somewhere to go at the trot.. He could go back under saddle with the right rider, and is an absolute star in country pleasure driving, where he’s also been successful. You can see how gorgeous Express is in harness on the "Show Horses" page -- in his last two shows he's finished reserve grand champion in some very nice, well-filled classes.

He’s safe for the most novice driver but because he thinks highly of himself, he feels like a big-time show horse. He also won many blues for a young rider in the walk-and-trot division and could go that way, but as he’s got a big motor we recommend he do this under professional guidance.

That said, this horse is a cupcake to maintain as a show horse (great coat, and he carries his long, lush tail up naturally, and he's very happy to go to a show!). Plus he’s easy to live with – tidy in the stall, eats well, easy to clip (anywhere on his body, including ears), shoe, load … and love. If you’re that special person looking for a very special horse, call for more info on Express!
